Claudia's Lineage - The Full Story
During one of my early visits to India, life introduced me to a bone fide spiritual teacher in Rishikesh. Unbeknownst to me, she belonged to the Dattatreya Sampradaya tradition, a significant part of Hinduism, a Siddha Sampradaya and initiatory tradition rooted in the teachings of Lord Krishna. and related to Gurudev Sri Swami Samarth of Akkalkot and Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi. Swami Samarth, revered as an incarnation of the Divine Trinity Dattatreya, is one of Maharashtra’s most respected spiritual figures.
With my teacher in Rishikesh, I learned the deep wisdom of Vedanta, Kriya, and Mahaganapati Upasana. We studied parts of the Upanishads and other Indian texts, and I received Ganesha Mantra iniciciation from her and the hidden tantric aspects of Devi Sadhana (Goddess Energy) as a form of devotional Bhakti for empowerment and healing. My life started to adopt a deeper meaning, flowing with the ancient timeless wisdom that I always searched since childhood. When practiced with love, awareness and faith, the Devi Sadhana can bring us positivity, dynamism, and joy.
Some of the topics I studied with my teacher are:
- Urja Vali
- Devi Sadhana
- Lalita Sahasranam
- Mahishasurmardini
- Nirvan Shatakam
- Hanuman Chaleesa
- Aditya Hridayam
- Linga Shatakam
In my early 20s I started reading about Buddhism and subsequently read the Bhagwad Gita and attended Vedanta lectures at the Sri Ramakrishna Mission centers and ISKCON.
During subsequent trips to India, I had the good fortune of meeting in person two gurus in Haridwar and Rishikesh, who also taught me timeless wisdom. I lived at Aurovalley (Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Raiwala) for one year to practice silence and spiritual practices with a devoted sadhu who helped me confirm what I walways felt in my heart: Don't possess anyone and don't let anyone to possess you. Protect your aloness.
I have been showered by Grace since I started coming to India in 2018. I thank all the teachers that I have met in my life who have contributed to who I am today. Now it is time for me to give back some of this ancient and timeless wisdom and continye to be a vehicle of positive energy while at the same time challenging people to awaken.
People usuallly think that change takes a long time. But, does it?
